Import / Export


WinGIS contains, depending on the version, the following import and export interfaces to other file formats:

Imports in WinGIS Standard: ASCII, AutoCAD DXF, WinGIS AMP
Additional imports in WinGIS Professional: GPS TXT
Additional available imports: ArcInfo E00, ArcView SHP, MapInfo MIF, Microstation DGN
These imports are not included in any of the WinGIS basic versions but are available as additional modules.

Exports in WinGIS Standard: ASCII, WinGIS AMP

Additional exports in WinGIS Professional:

AutoCAD DXF, ArcInfo E00, ArcView SHP, MapInfo MIF, Garmin GPS, Google Earth KML
The  import and export interfaces for the WinGIS file format (AMP) are included already in WinGIS Standard. These interfaces are used for exchanging particular layers between WinGIS projects. Each conversion module includes settings for the source and destination database and also a projection conversion.
